It was going to be just another day rallying in spite of police intimidation at Piers Corbyn's Vaccine Education Event in London. Another peaceful protest, and another waste of tax payers money sending a battalion of police to intimidate the individuals who turned up to support free speech and freedom of assembly.
In the midst of senseless arrests of innocent people (there were several people arrested), Charles Walker, Conservative MP, saw a woman being arrested from a nearby window, just outside the precinct of the House of Commons. Disturbed by what he saw, he came to the street and witnessed the police dragging her into the van like an old sack. She had collapsed and lost strength in her body after her arrest.
He was sufficiently outraged to address the House of Commons immediately after this event, demanding the Prime Minister and Home Secretary end these injustices now.
She was "robbed of her dignity for having the courage to protest about having her fundamental rights and those of my constituents and others removed"
The brutal suppression of free speech & peaceful political protest is our current reality, and a wider audience in this country needs to understand this.
The Daily Mail did a report on the event which can only help to gain support for peaceful protestors and dissenting voices against the current regime.
We hope Charles Walker can continue to Stand Up for the freedom of his constituents and all people of the UK.
Earlier this month, his stand against the Second Lockdown was admirable.
